HPT Physical Therapy Specialists is seeking to hire a Physical Therapist to join our amazing team of 5 PT’s and 4 PTA’s. The position is a full-time staff physical therapist at the largest PT clinic in the area in terms of available therapy space with more than 12, 000 square feet and a dedicated sports performance area with turf fields and full weight room that allows us to perform virtually any return to sport or return to function goal that a patient could need.

Our staff is young and very family oriented. We routinely have staff celebrations, picnics, tailgates and participate in community events to build comradery and lasting professional bonds. If the therapist is a new graduate, we will include weekly mentoring from the clinical director and other staff physical therapists. We will encourage you to participate in a one year residency in physical therapy in a distance learning model with periodic off-site training. Physical Therapist responsibilities:


The Clinical Staff Physical Therapist is responsible for providing quality physical therapy care and services to patients at Huntington Physical Therapy while maintaining professional relationships with other community medical professionals.


The Clinical Staff Physical Therapist reports to the Clinical Director and may supervise supportive personnel including PTA’s and techs.

The Clinical Staff Physical Therapist has frequent contact with patients, family members, medical staff, other health care personnel, and medical service representatives.


The Staff Physical Therapists evaluates new patients and sets up a plan of care in an effort to accomplish functional goals laid out by the therapist and patient.

Conducts appropriate clinical interventions and accurately documents those interventions. The intervention may include but Is not limited to manual therapy techniques, gait training, therapeutic exercise, modalities, and neuromuscular reeducation.

Supervises the PTA’s and PT techs that are involved with the patient care and overall patient experience.

Provides a positive atmosphere so that the patients not only achieve their goals but have a positive feeling about the physical therapy experience at Huntington Physical Therapy.

Finishes required documentation and accurately documents to facilitate the reimbursement process.

Keeps the clinical director aware of patient dissatisfaction or adverse treatment effects that may concern the therapist or patient.

Proficient use of the company EMR.

Plays an active role in the marketing efforts and portraying a positive community view of Huntington Physical Therapy.

Observes the standards of physical therapy set out by the APTA.

Provides current and accurate patient information to relevant health care professionals.

Responsible for properly counseling patients/patients' families, and appropriate health care professionals regarding physical therapy.

Performs other related duties as assigned.


Doctorate or Masters of Physical Therapy is required

Licensure eligibility in state of employment.


Must possess the physical ability needed to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally; and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently; and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
